Dr. Jo-Anne Rolle

DR. JO-ANN ROLLE holds a PhD. in Economics from Howard University. Dr. Rolle has served as the Dean of the School of Business at Medgar Evers College, City University of New York (CUNY) for the past seven years. Dean Rolle is an accomplished leader with a consistent history of success who served in the U.S. Government and I.B.M. before her academic career. She served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a university; seven years as Chief Academic Officer (CAO); and ten years as a Business School Dean at two universities. During her career, she launched two entrepreneurial Centres and many entrepreneurship programs. She has taught entrepreneurship and economic courses.

She is a business consultant with board experience. Dr. Rolle awards include two Citations from Brooklyn, NY Borough President Eric Adams for Leadership & Community Service. She has been recognized as a Top 25 Influential African American Women in Business. She has delivered Keynote speeches and workshops to include the U.N. in N.Y.C. She is a Price-Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators fellow, Administrative Fellow, Harvard University, Member of the Economic Club of New York, Fellow of Centre for Business & Economic Research.

Colonel Prof (Dr) Jyotirmaya Satpathy

Col Prof Dr J Satpathy is a veteran Army Faculty having served for 29 Years and joined the academic world post - voluntary retirement. Author had his formal education under various Universities in India and holds double Masters, double MPhil, triple Ph.Ds. and sextuplet DLitts with a PDF in Psychology in various fields of Economics, Management and Psychology.

The author is currently a Professor of Management at Srinivas University, Mangalore (India), Visiting Professor at XIM University, Bhubaneswar (India), Research Director at ICN Bogota, Colombia and Professor at Management University of Africa, Nairobi, Resource Faculty at School of Economics and Business, University of Business and Technology, Georgia, and Academic Affiliate, Hindu University of America, Florida. Author has authored 10 books, 294 research publications and delivered about 225 invited Lectures in India and abroad. Author is a Limca Record Awardee in academics and concentrates singularly on Neuro - Decision dynamics.

Seventeen scholars have been awarded PhD degrees under his guidance and he has published over 120 Scopus / SSCI indexed papers with a number of these included in the ABDC/ABS journal list. He was the recipient of the Career 360 “Outstanding Faculty Researcher Award” 2023, “Megastar Award” Chitkara Excellence Awards 2023/4, the Chitkara University Excellence award 2023 (Publications in Business School Category), 2021 (February) for highest cited author and publications with highest H-index (Business School category).

He is an active resource person for FDPs, MDPs & Corporate Trainings. He is a member of the thesis review board of a number of universities. worked as a high school teacher for 10 years and moved to college.

My current interest is “To integrate peace education in the local context and international trends." I am a board member of Bridge for Peace (BFP), which is producing films that interview former Japanese soldiers and conducts workshops for youth groups, colleges, and high schools in Japan and overseas. I was also appointed as a member of the international advisory board of History NGO Forum for Peace in East Asia, based in Seoul.

Dr. Tosh Tachino

Tosh Tachino is a language and communication consultant with a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from Iowa State University. He has taught a range of subjects to students of all kinds in diverse settings, but his specialty is coaching academic writing to graduate students and other researchers for publication.

For the present trip of Kenyans, he served as a guide and interpreter, including an onsite interpreting of a business presentation by an official from the Chamber of Commerce. He has authored a number of scholarly papers, and some of them appeared in the Journal of Applied Linguistics and Professional Practice (2021), Text and Talk (2017), Written Communication (2012), and in a collection Genre and the Performance of Publics (2016, University Press of Colorado).

Mr. Edward Odundo is the Chief Executive Officer of Retirement Benefits Authority (Kenya), honoured by his Excellency the President, Hon. Mwai Kibaki, with The Moran of the Order of The Burning Spear (MBS), Former Director of the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), Director Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), a Board member of the Insurance Training and Educational Trust and the Vice President of the International Organisation Of Pensions Supervisors (IOPS), having previously served as the Vice Chairman of the Technical Committee of IOPS.

Dr. Odundo has held various high level responsibilities such as the Commissioner of Value Added Tax, Kenya Revenue Authority and Founder and First Chairman of the Forum of VAT Commissioners in Africa with its headquarters in Accra, Ghana; First Financial Controller Kenya Revenue Authority, General Manager, East Africa Reinsurance Company Limited and Finance Manager, Kenya Reinsurance Corporation.

Prof. Washington Okeyo

Professor Washington Okeyo is an associate professor of entrepreneurship and is the Vice-Chancellor/CEO of the Management University of Africa (MUA). He is the principal academic and executive officer of the University and is a current member of the University’s Governing Council, and Chairperson of the University Senate as well as Chairman of The University Management Board (UMB)

Prof. Okeyo was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics, Research and Extension) at Management University of Africa before becoming the VC. He has taught at University of Nairobi among others. He has written and published widely in Management and Leadership. He is also the patron of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Management and Leadership Studies. He has taught, done research and published in many peer reviewed journals including European Scientific Journal, Advances in Social Sciences Research Journal, International Journal of Business and Social Research, and others and authored books in business, management and development studies.

Dr. John Cheluget holds a PhD in Business Administration, Finance Specialization from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Master of Business Administration, Finance option Degree from the University of Nairobi (UoN) and a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting option degree University of Nairobi (UoN). He is a qualified certified public accountant (CPA-K). Dr. John Cheluget is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics, Research and Extension) and a Senior Lecturer at The Management University of Africa

Prof. Emmanuel Awuor

Prof. Emmanuel Awuor is an associate professor in the school of management and leadership at the Management University of Africa. He is the current vice president in charge of research and education at the African Institute for Supply Chain Research (AISCR) and a senior partner at Dilloyd Consultants, a research and consultancy firm based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Prof. Awuor has previously served as the academic dean of faculty (2013 – 2015), acting Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic Research and Extension (DVC-ARE) (2015 – 2016) at the Management University of Africa. He holds a B.Sc. degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), MBA, PhD in Business Leadership as well as post doc fellowship from Welcome Trust (UK).
